Day #001
Day #001:
San Francisco.
One step at a time.
More than one million steps.
That's what I'll be walking the next few months.
Right now, I'm sitting in a coffee shop in San Francisco - surrounded by familiarity. My neighborhood. My routines. Acquaintances I've come to know. The life I've spent years building.
But tomorrow, I get on a plane to Japan...and who knows what happens next?
I'm excited. I'm nervous. And I've decided that's okay.
I'm not a David Goggins disciple, but I've always appreciated one of his core ideas: when things get hard, don't think about the entire distance - just win the next step. And then the next. That's it.
So that's my game plan: Win the next step. Mile by mile. Hour by hour. Day by day.
Because the journey of a [800] miles really does begin with a single step...and maybe so does everything else?
